Duro Carbon granules are designed for pack carburizing in solid media. They are suitable for treating common carbon steel as well as high, medium, and low-alloy steels, ensuring optimal management of the case depth.
It is important to note that Duro Carbon is available in two variations:
DURO CARBON 310: Featuring a diameter of approximately 4.5 to 5.5 mm, this grade is recommended for working with nickel-chromium alloy steels and for treating low-carbon steels when a deep case depth between 1.8 and 2.5 mm is required.
DURO CARBON 312: Featuring a diameter of approximately 3.5 mm, this grade is intended for carbon steels, low-alloy steels, chromium-manganese, and nickel-chromium steels, specifically for case depths of less than 0.6 mm.
